It dont get much more tragic than this.Tarte Sugar Rush Eyeliner Clay Liner Pencils are often touted as being the perfect liner. I have to paint the look of breathing on my face when I apply makeup. My level of pigment lacking white is transparent. #Sugar rush tarte full#And I can say this with full confidence that no one else will have different results because I’m so fair its sad. That gorgeous watercolor sheer poppy red is purely superficial. But I was really hoping for and expecting a little bit of a tint based on the reviews and the description on the website as well as the beautiful bright color in the bottle… This was perhaps most disappointing along with the slick unpleasant coating that it left if a tiny bit got in my mouth…it went away within a few min thank God cause had it not it would put me off totally. I’m probably super late to this party but just in case you haven’t tried the tarte sugar rush lip oil in cherry slush….ĭon’t expect a tint whatsoever. Tarte Sugar Rush Lip Sip Vegan Lip Oil is available now. This isn’t intensely hydrating by any means but it does sooth and soften my super dry lips.Īll in all, Tarte Sugar Rush Lip Sip Vegan Lip Oil is pretty darn nice! This formula wears for about two hours but it does keep my lips feeling quite hydrating through the wear! It’s one of the nicer lip oils I’ve tried as many are more of a sheerer gloss formula and don’t provide a ton of moisture. I’m cool with the clear version but after I use this little mini up I’m going to check out the cherry shade as I do like a little bit of tint on my lips! I got the shade Fresh Pressed so you aren’t getting any color with this particularly color but there other shades available which will likely give you a little hint of tint. It applies evenly on my lips and hugs them in a very nice hydrating layer with a glossy, shiny look and finish. I liked the texture of this formula a lot. I don’t get the cookie aspect but the sweet jammy raspberry I do! It’s quite delicious tasting! But not a great pick if you’re a sensitive user. According to Tarte it has a raspberry sugar cookie flavor which instantly reminded me of my favorite cookie in the entire universe Knott’s Berry Farm Raspberry Shortbread. It’s a gel-like serum texture that has a glossy finish on lips. It’s a pretty nice way to give the brand a little test to see if you actually need to wade in and try the brand out. As you know Tarte has mini sizes of almost the entire Sugar Rush Collection available and priced at a very affordable 5 for $25. Tarte Sugar Rush Lip Sip Vegan Lip Oil is available in a full-size 0.1 oz size or you can snag a mini version like I did which is 0.05 oz. Tarte seems to have gotten it right with Sugar Rush Lip Sip Vegan Lip Oil! Some brands get the formula right, some just sort of creating a lightweight lipgloss of sorts. Lip oil is a tricky business in my opinion! We’ve seen many here on Musings of a Muse from Milani, E.L.F., Burt’s Bees, Kiko, and many, many other brands. I admit I was a little skeptical of the entire Tarte Sugar Rush Collection but so far, they’ve been surprising me with some of their offerings! Tarte Sugar Rush Lip Sip Vegan Lip Oil ($15) is a new hydrating lip oil created with jojoba, hazel, and sunflower seed that’s available in three shade selections.

Hoover hits (Bale is seamlessly integrated up close and personal with the big, bad beastie, 'Angels' catapult through misty clouds as dragon bait) and misses (McConaughey's harpoon platform stands before obvious bluescreen, dragons flying in the distance frequently scream CGI). (And while it's refreshingly different to go after daddy for a change, won't the thousands of pregnant females still pose a threat for years to come?) McConaughey is burdened with the worst of the dialogue, particularly a wet blanket speech given to Quinn's community when they're partying away to Hendrix's "Fire" after his dragon kill.Ĭinematographer Adrian Biddle ("Thelma and Louise") alternates his palette between steely blue grays and blood orange fire glow. Just before we learn that they must obliterate the lone male dragon (which killed Quinn's mum (Alice Krige) twenty years earlier) in order to save mankind, Van Zan is seen astride his tank, its cannon phallically pointing towards London. McConaughey is linked to the beast by his grunts and 'hrrrs' which the sound mix. She rides over the horizon to lure a dragon, then parachuting 'angels' (life expectancy is 16 seconds once they leave the copter) act as bait, firing nets and bringing the animal towards Van Zan for the kill. Van Zan is idolized by his men, which includes helicopter Alex (Izabella Scorpuco, "Goldeneye," only occasionally successful hiding her accent), a potential love interest for Quinn. Van Zan (Matthew McConaughey, a convergence of Mad Max and Toecutter) forces an uneasy alliance with Quinn until he proves himself with a spectacular (and confusing) display of hi-tech dragon hunting. When a stream of tanks arrive bearing American military dragonslayers seeking overnight shelter, Quinn is suspicious and the writers have fun with stereotypes as a soldier tosses one kid an apple (all chocolate presumably having been melted by dragon breath). Besides Creedy, Quinn is assisted by young Jared (Scott James Moutter), a surrogate son and symbol of his lost childhood. When danger looms (a tower lookout with a predatory bird signals), Quinn herds the children (each and every one a wide eyed English poppet) into the castle chapel and demands they recite their 'prayer,' which is really a dragon 'duck and cover' recitation. While he banters with Creedy ('If anything happens, you know what do to.' 'No I don't!'), mostly Quinn is in the solemn business of protecting his community from the overhead peril and their own rash judgement. Quinn the adult, while mostly serious, will perform the Darth Vadar/Luke Skywalker 'I am your father' scene with his best mate Creedy (Gerard Butler, "Harrison's Flowers") for the kids and claim authorship. Quinn the kid (Ben Thornton) has a tweaking sense of humor. #Reign of fire movie#For the most part, this is popcorn movie fun with equal doses of action, cheese, ham and cheek (as well as a serious debt to "The Road Warrior"), but it feels like unrealized potential, as if the filmmakers only went halfway and filled in the gaps with cliche. Story-by guys Gregg Chabot and Kevin Peterka, who wrote the screenplay with Matt Greenberg, cooked up this premise during a backpacking trip throughout Britain. |
